Lylah Menefee '27 Recruiting Profile

Thank you for viewing my profile. My name is Lylah Menefee, and I am a 5'11" Middle/Hitter in the freshman class graduating in 2027. 

I have played this sport since I was 13 and fell in love with it at my first middle school tryout! I love the companionship and competition in this sport because those significant aspects help me push myself and grow in this fantastic sport. I have a drive to play at a high level in college while putting in all my efforts to help my team in any way needed. While having become a strong middle and pin hitter, I strive to become a strong back-row player. I currently have a block touch of 9'5" and an approach jump of 9'7" with a goal of reaching 10'. While I have not played for very long, I have been around it for most of my life, which has built my volleyball I.Q., making me a very coachable and approachable player. 

Education has been a crucial thing to me all of my life. Through my time playing volleyball, I have learned to manage being on National teams, an All-Star team, and even my school team to have good time management, such as long rides to games and club practices, an hour or longer, have been challenging; I have maintained a 4.36 GPA. Off the court, I love house architecture, hanging with friends, swimming, baking, and listening to music. Overall, I want to push to become the best player I can be while pursuing a career and make the most of the playing and learning experience at the next level.
