Personal Statement
My name is Kylie Roe and I am currently a senior at Lincoln East High School. My love of volleyball started at age 5, when my parents enrolled me in the YMCA Volleyball League. As a child, I have played many sports, including Softball, Soccer, Basketball, and Volleyball. My goal is to continue to pursue volleyball at the collegiate level.
Sports have taught me how to be strong, both mentally and physically. I like the competition of Volleyball. I like the feeling that my team counts on me to make a kill and get the winning point for our team. But most of all, I WANT to get the win.... If my team loses, I like to look through the play film to see what I could of done better to have helped my team, or how my team could have worked together better to have changed the outcome.
Although volleyball is extremely important to me, I strive to be successful in the classroom. Currently, I have 3.2 grade point average while playing sports year-round and working a part-time job. While most little girls dreamed of being a ballerina or a princess, my dream was to become an FBI agent to make this world a safer place. In college, I want to study criminal justice and have a career in law.
Check me out... you won't be disappointed.
Thank you for your consideration.
