At a very young age, I discovered that being involved in sports was something I really enjoyed. My parents were both athletes and they felt it was important to get involved in team building early. I quickly realized that competing gave me more of a purpose than I imagined and over the past few years it has become a way of living. My sports friends became my best friends and I truly believe that I want to continue to play throughout my high school and collegiate career. As a multisport athlete, the question was always, which sport will it be, soccer or softball. Then I found volleyball.
Two years ago, my friends talked me into trying out for the middle school volleyball team. I fell in love with the sport immediately. The fast paced play and quick thinking was exactly what I had been looking for. I believe I am very coachable, and my agility and sports IQ will help set me apart.
However, I understand the importance of my education. That is why it is extremely important to find a school with academic programs that fit my needs. I have high academic aspirations and I pride myself not only to strive for perfection on the court but also in the classroom. My education will always be my top priority.
