I started playing volleyball later than most of my teammates and other players that I know. It wasn’t until I was 13 years old that I was introduced to the sport, instantly falling in love with it and wanting to become a significant part of my life. I am known to be a motivated, diligent athlete and student, setting big goals and always working hard to see them through. I am so excited about my collegiate volleyball and academic goals and aspirations!
Although I have a quieter and more reserved personality off the court, my dedication and competitive drive are ever-present. During practices, scrimmages, and games, I push myself and strive to improve my skills every time I step onto the court or into the gym. At the end of my 2022-2023 season, I was awarded Most Improved Player on my club team. In my sophomore year, I played up an age group, being a starter on my school’s senior varsity team. No matter what the score board reads, I encourage my teammates and try to lead by example, staying in a positive mindset and maintaining a sportsmanlike attitude.
Alongside volleyball, I have been a competitive dancer for over 10 years, competing both regionally and internationally, medaling on the world stage with solo, duet, and group performances. Participating actively in two sports has led me to develop strong time management skills, allowing me to excel in both volleyball and dance while maintaining high academic standings. I am a very well rounded student and prioritize my academics, earning distinction awards in visual arts, english, science and mathematics, as well as the Student of the Year award in my freshman year. In the end, I hope to find a college that will challenge me on the court and in the classroom.
