Anna Picone '20 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing volleyball for 6 years.  I first started playing as an opposite hitter, and have also had opportunities to play multiple positions.  I have found my passion for setting, which is my primary position, but I also get a lot of reps as an opposite hitter.  I have been setting for the past 3 years.  I have learned how to read the court and set up successful offensive plays. I excel as an offensive player, and I am also able to contribute as a defensive player. I've been a great leader on and off the court. Going into my past two seasons, my coaches and teammates have elected me as team caption.  I enjoy motivating my teammates, and setting a good example for my team and others. I work hard and strive to become a better setter and opposite hitter every time I can touch a ball.  I am highly motivated and dedicated to the sport and hope to continue my volleyball career after high school.
