Personal Statement
I am in the midst of my junior volleyball season at Gig Harbor High School. I was selected as a varsity captain, OH 1, and I am playing all the way around. My team and I are working hard to improve our #3 seed in league to put us in the best position possible for the district tournament in November.
I love to compete. Whether it’s on the court or in the classroom, I play to win. I understand that an academic/athletic scholarship is a privilege, and I want to earn one. My parents have raised me with the values of faith, family, and service. My pillars, both on the court and in the classroom, are attitude and effort. Regardless of the circumstances, conditions, or odds, the two things I always have control over are my attitude and effort. I try to lead by example, with the understanding that my actions speak louder than my words.
