Miranda Berger '21 Recruiting Profile

Something I pride myself on is my determination. Even though I’ve been playing volleyball for 7 years the moment I decided I wanted to be competitive, I made sure I gave myself the opportunity. My mind is always on volleyball. Whenever I have spare time, I’m setting against the wall, studying film (my own, that of peers/competitors, or higher levels), or working on other skills. Because of this, my growth has been exponential. Since I changed schools, every year my abilities have grown. I started as the backup setter on the bench on a less competitive club team my freshmen year to being a 5-1 rotation starting setter for a high level team this year. I was able to achieve these goals due to a strong desire and a lot of support. I have no intention of stopping this level of growth anytime soon. Whenever I put my mind to something I put in a lot of effort to achieve that, whether that be volleyball, academics, or other extracurriculars. When given the chance to prove myself I tend to surprise people.
