“My name is Tisha England, and I am the Head Women's Basketball Coach at Catawba Valley Community College located in Hickory, N.C.. Our Lady RedHawks had another successful year with a 24-6, 17-3 co-champs CVAC Conference breaking records again this year including Sherry Johnson with most double doubles in a single season(19), and our Lady RedHawks putting the work in the classroom earning NJCAA All-Academic Team six years in a row (Team GPA 3.6) and leading the Region X with 7 NJCAA All-Academic (Milequa eason, Ivy Eller, Tazah Hardin, Iyonna Harris, Danielle Rainey, Deja Ross, and Aniya Taylor), 2 NJCAA All-Region X (Sherry Johnson and Zharia Brown) and 1 All-Region X Tournament(Zharia Brown). We, here at CVCC strives for excellence in the classroom as well as on the court. We are looking for student-athletes to continue our rich history in academics as well as athletics. We have Try-Outs/Work-Outs on Saturday, June 1, 2019 from 12 noon-4 p.m. Doors will open at 11:00 a.m. I would love for your student-athlete(s) to come and see what our program is all about.
