When I am asked by people who I am, my first answer is always the same - I am a baseball player. I have played baseball every year of my life since I was 5 years old. For the greater portion of that time, I have played at a very competitive level. Most of my closest friendships are current or former teammates. The most important lessons in life, my personal doubts and struggles, have been worked out on a baseball field. My most influential mentors and role models have been my coaches. They have taught me about winning and losing, about mental toughness, determination, and perseverance. For as long as I can remember, my number one dream has been to play baseball at the highest possible level. To do that, I have to become the best baseball player I can. This has been my mission and remains my most important personal goal.
This is what I have to offer any potential coaches willing to give me a chance. I suppose, to some degree, it is also what separates me from some other athletes. I am committed to working and learning to become the best baseball player I can be. I want to help my teammates and coaches win ball games. If it is in the cards for me, I want to one day play baseball against the very best talent there is and I want to win!
