Hello, my name is Jeffrey Sinacore. I stand 5’10” tall and weigh 160 lbs. I’m currently a junior at Fayetteville High School in Arkansas. Last year as a sophomore I started on the varsity team. My main position is middle infield. I spend a lot of time at shortstop and really enjoy it. I started playing travel baseball at the age of 9 and played catcher until I was 12 years old. I learned the game within the game from behind the plate. As time moved on I was asked to play outfield, middle infield and 3rd base. Occasionally I pitched too! I really found my love for the game being a middle infielder. However, I am happy to go anywhere on the field. By playing so many positions I’ve learned empathy for my fellow teammates that play those positions. I find you don’t really know the position until you have to play it. Just like life, you don’t really know a situation until you’re faced with it. Baseball is a game of patience. It reminds me daily to keep my nose to the grind stone and keep pushing myself to be bigger, better, faster and stronger. This game has taught me to be diligent, kind, respectful and grateful I was born with athletic ability.
My family and I moved to Fayetteville Arkansas July of 2015. (Just before my freshman year of high school). We moved from Lake in the Hills, IL (suburb of Chicago). I was just “okay” with the idea of moving. Starting freshman year at a new school proved to be challenging. Although, some days were tougher than others, I settled in quickly. I’ve met some really great people and have come to love the town.
In the last year I have grown 2 inches and gained nearly 25lbs. I work very hard every day trying to make sure I consume 4,000 healthy calories and 200g of protein. Good nutrition along with weight training has helped me be a stronger player and has helped my team win games.
Academically, I strive to keep my GPA and course rigger as tough as possible. As a freshman I experienced my first AP class, (Human Geography). Sophomore year I took AP US History and Pre-AP Biology. This year I am taking Pre AP Chemistry and Pre AP Calculus. I know course work rigger and great grades will provide limitless opportunities. My goals are to complete High School with a GPA of 3.5 or higher. I will continue to train and get stronger and faster so that I can be of value to my team. Long term I will continue to work toward finding that school that combines academics and athletics and where I feel comfortable.
Thanks for taking the time to get to know me a little.
All the best!
Jeff Sinacore
