Byron (Davis) Wilson '12 Recruiting Profile

My name is Byron Davis Wilson, everyone calls me Davis. I am 5'11" and weigh 175 pounds. My most important accomplishments include 3rd team all area DH my sophmore year(only five sophmores were selected for all area teams in a region that included parts of East Texas and Southwest Arkansas) 2010 State Champions; 2011 all area catcher, 2011 all state, 2011 Under Armour All American, 2011 Under Armor National Team Selectee, selected by area coaches to participate in the junior summer games as one of the top 84 prospects in the state of Arkansas.  I know I can bring many good attributes to a team. I am a hard worker, I do everything I can to make myself better, and I keep a positive winning attitude until the last out of a game is made.  I focus on what I need to work on and get after it. I am eager to play baseball for a quality program in or around the Arkansas area.   The most important reason for being close to Arkansas is being able to visit my family in Arkansas and give them opportunities to share my baseball experience.  I really have not narrowed down a major, but I do know that I want to do something in math, like engineering or accounting/business management. My goals for my freshman year in college would have to be doing well academically, earning a starting position, batting in the mid three hundreds, have a few homeruns, good slugging percentage, a significant number of RBI's.
