Personal Statement

As the son of a Marine, I’ve learned that beyond family, character and courage matter in life. My family moved many times in my childhood, and with that came being true to myself while developing the confidence to fit into a new area. Baseball was there through all those moves. From playing in the park with other neighborhood kids to player development through little league to sharpening my skills on my travel ball team, I realized the importance of communication, dedication, and humbleness in a team sport and life.

My experience in Cooperstown was when I realized I wanted to play high school and college baseball. I had a lot of success at the plate and showed accuracy and arm strength in the field. I also learned about mental toughness. Since then, I’ve become more aware of the strategy and situational awareness of the game. I continue to work on my speed and agility, knowing baseball requires getting to the ball and making quick decisions.I look forward to working with a college program where coaches individualize player development and promote leadership.

While baseball is the basis of many of my life goals and dreams, my parents have constantly reminded me I am a student-athlete. In my high school, known for academic excellence, my goal is a GPA of 3.75 or higher, focusing on classes to prepare me for a future degree in business. I am interested in a 4-year college offering a School of Business to pursue my academic goals. Choosing a college with a baseball program that aligns with my character and values is also essential.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
