Derek Bartram '22 Recruiting Profile

My goal for the last few years has been to play Division 1 College baseball. Everyday that is my mindset and that is what I work towards. Baseball is my passion and also my dream. To someday achieve this goal I follow a daily routine which consists of running, hitting and lifting. I want to be the best that I can and I believe this is only attainable through hard work.

I am currently a Junior, standing 6-2, 205 lbs. I play outfield for the varsity team at Novato High School. I also enjoy playing water polo and basketball. Since I was 6 I have been out on the baseball field, starting with tee ball and little league. I started to play travel ball when I was 9 and have played every year since then. This year I played for the California Warriors 17u Elite and Butch Baccalas Athlete 911. It's been hard during the pandemic but my coaches have been able to still find plenty of games and I am very appreciative of that. I give a lot of credit to my coaches over the years including Max Venable, Jesse Foppert, Mike Firenzi, Cam Ray, my dad and the many other little league and travel coaches that pushed me to do better to get the most of my talent. I’m very appreciative of the experiences I’ve had and the people I’ve met on my journey and look forward to what lies ahead.
