Jack Kelly '25 Recruiting Profile

My versatility makes me a great candidate for any college program looking to add depth to their squad. If you were to look in my baseball bag, you would see four gloves. I have a pitching glove, an infield glove, an outfield glove, and a first-base glove. That is because I play 8 of the 9 positions on the field (although I did play catcher in a Perfect Game Tournament this past summer). My coaches have the confidence I can play anywhere on the field to help my team succeed.  I am passionate about pitching and throw a four-seam, fastball, curveball, slider, and splitter. I'm working on increasing my velocity without losing my mechanics. This fall I made the 2023 17U All-Tournament Team for Pitching in 17U Perfect Game Vegas Invitational. This summer at the plate, I batted .333 overall. In two Perfect Game tournaments, I batted .375 with a .859 OPS and made the All-Tournament Team for both tournaments. Also, I batted .429 at the 16u USA Baseball Tournament in Arizona. 

What makes me different from other recruits is that I am very versatile, can implement feedback from coaches, am extremely competitive, and have a strategic baseball mind. I am also a loyal teammate and a team player who understands the importance of putting the team first and getting my assignments done. I love the team aspect of the game and how everyone must contribute to be successful. I prioritize my family and academics because I know without them, I won’t be able to fulfill my dream of playing the game of baseball in college.
