Since I was young I have loved baseball. Many hours of my childhood involved playing, watching and competing in the sport I love. This has continued throughout my teenage years. It is my dream to play at the college level, and possibly beyond. I am very dedicated, motivated and determined to become the best athlete I possibly can. I was a triple athlete my freshman year of high school, playing football, basketball and baseball. As my sophmore year of high school approaches, I have decided to spend second semester training and preparing for baseball rather than playing basketball. I spend many hours in the gym improving my strength, speed and endurance. I also work with a baseball coach and personal trainer to improve my skills. I believe everyday is a chance to better myself, learn something new and to grow. I also believe that through hard work, dedication, and determination, I can absolutely achieve my goals. Of course academics are a priority as well. I take school very seriously and dedicate myself to being the best student possible. Freshman year I had to balance playing three sports and many challenging classes, including Honors Biology and Honors Algebra II. I succeeded in maintaining HIgh Honors and a GPA of 3.67 out of 4. I am determined to continue to work hard, as I take on three honors classes this coming year. I have impressed my teachers with my hard work and determination. I look forward to school everyday, and the chance to learn new and exciting things. Experience wise, I have most recently played on State Tournament and Travel teams for Piedmont League in Hockessin, Delaware. My team, The Bulldogs, has won the state championship and traveled to regionals several times, as well as competing in tournaments in Delaware, Maryland and Pennsylvania. This past year as a freshman, I played varsity as first baseman for The Tatnall School. I had a great year with no errors, and two games where I hit a walk off to help our team win the game. I am looking forward to next year where I will play on Tatnall and move into playing American Legion ball as well.
