I began playing basketball when I was six years old. Since I made my first organized basketball team, I have desired to play at the collegiate level. Having been around the game of basketball for so long, I have a strong high basketball IQ. I am a team leader and try to lead by example while also encouraging my teammates. I am incredibly coachable and each time I walk out onto the court I strive to be one of the hardest-working players.
Off the court, I study hard and maintain a competitive GPA. This summer I worked as a basketball coach at a basketball camp at Bard College in Upstate, NY. I am currently a member of our Black Student Union at Tatnall. At the beginning of my Junior year, I started a Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) huddle at Tatnall which meets twice a month. I am also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Dover, DE Chapter of the EMBODI Program (Empowering Males to Build Opportunities for Developing Independence) for males.
I want to attend a college where I can push myself in the classroom and on the basketball court. I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible. I plan to become a great role model to all peers and make my mother and grandmother proud.
