Personal Statement

My name is Shea Glotzbach, and I’m a 2025 short-stop, pitcher, and outfielder at Lemont High School in Lemont, IL and Illinois Premier Baseball out of Joliet, IL.

I am very appreciative of my athletic talents and have played lots of sports my whole life, competing at a high level.  But I have always loved baseball best and want to pursue playing on a college team.  I'm not afraid of working hard, and I welcome critiques and being challenged to improve my game.

On any of my teams I’m known for my calm and clutch presence to make the big play.  My coach can put me in any position, confident I’ll deliver with a strong, dependable arm or great hands.  Usually, I’m found at short stop or on the mound often overpowering most hitters.

Off the field I’m a starter on my high school’s varsity basketball team where I was just named All-Conference Player 2024, and for AAU team Lithuanica; I love being a game changer.

In my free time I hang out with my friends, go fishing and workout to improve strength. I also work at a banquet center to make money to help fund my travel baseball team.  Academics is also a top priority, I’m driven to excel both academically and athletically.

There are 2 quotes that help define my core.
The first quote I consider my North Star. It’s a Gale Sayers quote, “I am third”, meaning God always first, others - my family, teams & country - are second, and I am third.
The second is from my dad’s personal hero, Nolan Ryan, “My job is to give my team a chance to win”. This exemplifies how I see my role on your team.

Playing baseball in college is my dream and I am dedicated to work hard to make that dream happen.

Please note, i will be updating my baseball stats to reflect this year (2024 Spring) improvements as soon as i have available.

Thank you for your time and consideration.
