My name is Tom “TJ” Slazyk. I have a 3.96 G.P.A. and will graduate as a 3 year varsity starter in 2021 from Lincoln-Way West High School. I am a left handed batter with a .370 average. I currently play 3rd base and have a .950 fielding percentage.
My goal is to play college baseball and obtain an excellent education. I understand that my goal will require a tremendous amount of work. I am confident that my work ethic and past accomplishments will provide me with the tools necessary to achieve these goals. I consider myself a very intelligent player. I have a specific approach before each at bat as well as situational awareness on the base path.
I truly love the game of baseball for many reasons. First, I love the competitive nature of the game. It allows for you to compete directly with the opposing pitcher. Second, it allows me to be a team player. I am not a player who simply strives for individual statistics, but rather plays to help my entire team no matter what my role.
Third, I love the mental and analytical aspects of the game. As I stated above, every at bat needs a specific approach. Each pitcher and situation is different. This allows me to have an intellectual advantage over my opposing team. Lastly, it allows for hard work and practice off the field to pay off during the game. I believe in hard work and never giving up on your dreams.
I have no doubt that I will be an asset to my collegiate team. I would be honored to speak with you directly to further discuss my abilities and answer any questions you may have. Thank you in advance for reviewing my profile and I look forward to speaking with you soon.
Sincerely,
TJ Slazyk
