Personal Statement
I have loved the game of baseball since I was very young. Some of my earliest memories are playing catch with my dad. As I grew, so did my love and devotion to the game. Even as early as my first few years in little league, I set a goal not only to be a starter for my high school but to play beyond high school. This has always included playing for a top-tier college baseball program with a strong academic tradition - an environment that will allow me to achieve my potential both as an athlete and a student.
I feel that I would be an important and productive addition to a college team. My coaches have consistently commented to me that I am easy to coach, a team leader, and I consistently show respect to my coaches and my team. Being goal-driven and a hard worker has always been a part of my nature. I think my drive and enthusiasm are contagious; I have always tried, even when my team was down, to motivate and encourage. I would like nothing more than to bring this drive and attitude to a top-tier baseball program.
I have been an honor roll student for every high school semester so far. I currently have a 4.0 GPA and am interested in pursuing a business degree and graduate work. I constantly challenge myself to do my very best both on the field and in the classroom.
In summary, I hope to attend a college where I can apply all of the skills I have been working to achieve, in an environment where I can excel and help others to do the same.
