Caden Neff '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Caden Neff, I am 5'9" and weigh 150lbs. I have been playing baseball since I was 5 years old, and it has become a passion of mine. I truly love being able to get out on the diamond and compete. I have been homeschooled most of my life until my Sophomore year and the 20-21 baseball season is my first time playing for a school team. I have played for travel teams most of my life; and have had many coaches tell me that my future is bright on the diamond. 

I have always been a strong bat in the lineup, right side dominant, and while my home position has usually been on first base I have been all over the field and currently switch between third base, short stop and pitching. I feel that being put in different positions has helped me understand the game on a new level, and become more aware as well. 

I would like to say that I am extremely interested and motivated to play College Baseball, and continuously keep up with my studies and grades because I do not want any College or University to ever be able to look at me and say that I did not completely challenge myself in the classroom and on the field. 

Regarding school size, I am still undecided but would prefer a Division I school. I also like to be in continuous contact with my teachers/professors and would not want to lose that. However, going forward and upon any College tours this preference may change.
Geographically, I am interested in playing on the east coast, because I am from Kentucky, and it would be very important for me to be within a short car or plane ride from my family. But if the right opportunity presented itself, I would chose the path that sported the best coaches and most competitive baseball, regardless of the location.
