Personal Statement

I wish to pursue a degree in Sports Medicine or Exercise Science while playing baseball at the college level and beyond college. I aspire to use my life experiences to give back to the community and be a role model for young players. I am an excellent candidate for your team because I can play any position defensively at a high level. I have an innate understanding of the game and the ability to anticipate the next play in any position to advance my team. I have quick reflexes physically and mentally as a player and consider myself an excellent base runner and fielder. I take criticism well and know that criticism is the best way to perfect my game. I am a humble and selfless teammate and will do anything to help my team win knowing that teamwork is what wins games. I also realize and accept that sometimes defeat is a part of the game, and I will use those defeats to fuel internal motivation to push myself to be better than my peers. I work hard academically off the field and am an honors student with academic success in the classroom. I have always looked at character as not what you do to make yourself better, but how you make the world around you better and how many lives you lift up around you. I have a special needs brother who has taught me more about character than anyone around me. Even though he cannot speak and has challenges none of us can even imagine, he still lifts up others around him with his smile and positive nature. Character is about taking your life challenges and, instead of letting them weigh you down, digging in and working even harder to overcome them while not losing your integrity in the process. I am excited to show you who I am as a baseball player, as a student athlete, and as a person.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
