Personal Statement
I am Trevor, a 16 year old kid from Dexter High School. I enjoy running around outside, playing sports, being with my family, and basically anything that gets or keeps me active. Baseball though, has always been my greatest passion. Since the first time I picked up a bat, I wanted to be out on the diamond with the smell of hot dogs and freshly cut grass in the air. Even when I was no older than 7 or 8, I would collect baseball cards, look at stats, and research college baseball teams. I did this not just because I was talented at the sport, but because it was what I loved to do.
One of my greatest accomplishments in baseball was when I was 12 years old and threw a complete game shutout for the championship in a tournament in Boyne, Michigan. That tournament was really important to me as I was able to also take home my first MVP award. This year, I earned a MVP award as a pitcher in a Game Day USA tournament in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I pitched 7.0 innings and had 10 SO, 9 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 0 BB, 29 BF, 84 #P, 64 TS, 20 TB. All accomplishments aside, what I aim to do every time I step on the field is give my best effort and try to be a good teammate. Being a good teammate is something I really strive for and will continue to attempt to be.
After I graduate from high school, it is my goal to continue to play baseball and hopefully obtain a college scholarship in order to help with my college tuition. Baseball has taught me many lessons in life and I will put forth whatever effort it takes to continue to play and progress as not only a player, but more importantly as a person.
Thank you for looking at my profile and possibly giving me the opportunity to play college level baseball.
