Blake Hollrah '27 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing baseball since I was five years old.  Since I first stepped on the field, I have aspired to play at the collegiate level and hopefully beyond.  I know playing in college is a once and a lifetime opportunity that could change my whole life.

I have strong baseball IQ, mental toughness, exceptional batting average and caught base stealing average.   I am a team leader and try to lead by example while encouraging my teammates every step of the game.  I am extremely coachable and assist my coach with leading drills to help make our team as successful as possible.  I strive to be one of the hardest working players and one of the hardest working recruits you'll find.

I work hard year round on my training, I train weekly with private catching lessons and hitting along with hit lab twice weekly and P3 throwing and performance fitness three times a week.  I have been selected to represent Perfect Game in All American Tournaments, Game Day USA on their prospect team, Rawlings National Tigers on their national team along with being named all tournament MVP for Perfect Game and Game Day USA.  Also, I am also participating in football, track and basketball and lifting daily in the weight room at my high school which helps contribute to my athleticism.

In the classroom, I study hard and maintain a 4.0 GPA.  I am taking honors algebra and have received ELA awards for writing essays.  I am involved in my church and volunteer time back to help others in need.  On my playing glove and bat you will see my bible verse Philippians 4:11–13.  I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me. 

I want to attend a college where I can push myself in both the classroom and the baseball field.  I am open to all options but ultimately want to find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible.  I hope to become a great role model to all my peers; in my community and make my parents and family who have supported me along the way proud.
