Personal Statement

My name is Sam Dannehl and I am a 2015 senior catcher attending Ralston High School in Omaha, Nebraska. My whole philosophy when it comes to baseball is TEAM! It's been pounded in to my head ever since I was little that you play for the letters on the front of your jersey and not the letters on your back.  Every time I take the field, I run through my responsibilities, calls, pitches, and etc. to ensure I do everything I can to help my pitcher and to make him and the team look good. When I come up to bat, It's about what the team needs at that moment and how I can make it happen.  If I need to sacrifice my at-bat for the team I wouldn't think twice, I'd just do it.  In turn, my focus off the field is the same.  I put the time in so I can be the best teammate possible.  Whether that is on the hitting tee, catching bullpens, or whatever my coach has decided I need to focus on. I will do my best to be a positive role model and teammate.

I also believe that it's the same in the classroom. Focus is on my education, my future, and my teams future. I will do my best to perform as a student and as an athlete so we can succeed together. Finally, I love the game of baseball and want to continue to play at the collegiate level.

I appreciate your time and efforts looking at my profile!

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
