Nate Bauer '20 Recruiting Profile

    I have been playing baseball for more than ten years, and I have loved every second of it.  Every time I run out onto a baseball field, I get the same feeling that I had as a five year old, first playing the game. I have learned so many important values from playing baseball, such as respect, sportsmanship, the importance of hard work, and dealing with adversity and failure. I really love baseball, and I have done my best to reflect that in my volunteer work. In my free time, I volunteer at the Yogi Berra Museum at Montclair State University. During the summers, I work in the city of Paterson helping my former coach run a baseball camp for lower income children. Not only is it a lot of fun, I also get an opportunity outside of the classroom to practice my Spanish skills. Going off of that, school is very important to me and my family. Academics come before athletics, always. Throughout high school I have a kept a high GPA, and I work hard in the classroom to maintain it.

    Moving back to baseball, I would love to have an opportunity to play the sport I love collegiately. I am hard working, a team player, and I get along well with just about anyone. I believe in myself and my dreams, and I would love to bring my passion for the game to your program.
