I love the game of baseball and have ever since I began organized play in Tee-Ball. The emotions, challenges and camaraderie associated with the game have taught me valuable lessons about hard work, determination and grit. They’ve also taught me how to persist when I don’t succeed the first time around. But I’m not just an athlete; baseball has also helped me excel as a student. I relish the challenge of balancing my AP coursework at Friends Academy with the time demands of being a starter on the Varsity baseball team.    

I have been extremely fortunate to have parents and coaches who support my baseball aspirations and academic endeavors. Both of my parents are first-generation college students. Their success did not come easy, and watching their example has helped me understand the amount of effort that goes into having a productive life. Their support and encouragement has afforded me the opportunity to pursue my dream and develop my leadership skills both on and off the field.
