From learning to catch and hit with my dad at 4 years old all the way up to playing for the USA Baseball NTIS Southeast Team the past two years, baseball has been a constant in my life, teaching me the values of discipline, teamwork, and resilience. Through my own experiences on the field and through watching others, I have learned how to celebrate victories and mentally overcome defeat. With baseball being one of the toughest mental games you can play, the lessons learned have helped me on and off the field.
On the field, I believe my versatility and focus set me apart. I am a quiet, but confident, two-way player who is equally comfortable in the infield and on the mound. I have been described as a smooth fielder with soft/quick hands and I have a strong arm. As a pitcher my FB is currently topping out at 87; slider with late break; curveball sits mid-70s; change-up in the low 80s. I am a selective hitter with good vision at the plate. I am a consistent gap-to-gap hitter who can be counted on to put the ball in play. I am working to gain muscle and fill out my athletic frame to add additional power at the plate and increase my throwing velo.
In the classroom, I have always been a strong student. As a junior this year, I am taking honors high school classes and college level classes that will give me dual credit towards both high school and college. Upon graduation, I expect to have about 24 college credit hours, giving me a strong start towards my ultimate goal of becoming a physical therapist.
