One of my primary collegiate goals is to play lacrosse at a university that challenges you both academically and athletically. I recently started my sophomore year and I'm 6'1 & 185. This year I'm continuing to hit the weight room and grow my stick skills while playing in quality events. My coaches would say that I'm a physical player with good stick skills and speed for my size. I'm a hard worker & have good grades in the highest level/amount of honors courses that I'm able to take at this time. My coaches & teammates would say that I'm an extremely hard worker, good teammate & leader, and excel as a Defender because I recognize that you need to be accountable for your actions and I am not afraid to play 1/1 lockdown D. It's important that you work hard on the field at practice, but just as important that you're putting in the work when you're not at practice to improve on the areas that you need to grow in. I take the same approach in the classroom. I already use my body well, but I'm taking the time now when I'm not at team practice, to focus, grow & refine my lacrosse game (specific stick checks, positioning, footwork, stick skills, etc..). I'm a multi-sport athlete & also play football, box lacrosse & am running winter track and training with the sprinters.
I'm fortunate that I have a great support system at home with both of my parents that have played collegiate sports & my 2 younger brothers.
