Ty Hansen '18 Recruiting Profile

It has been a dream of mine to play baseball at the college level and hopefully professionally since I was 6 years old playing tee ball.  My parents have always stressed how important academics are and the role that it plays in life.  My education is very important to me as it is my future when my playing days are over.  I dream of graduating from college and starting off life with a leg up on the competition.  I feel that my competitive nature and relentless work ethic will add to my success both in the classroom and on the baseball field.  My goal is to play the game as long as I can, make lifelong memories, and get a quality education.  I am self motivated and driven to succeed in the classroom and on the field.  I have been taught to be disciplined, respect the game, practice and play hard, accept failure, and be a team player.  I play the game with passion, intent, and seriousness but also know when to have fun.  I would be a great candidate for your team and school because I strive to be a leader on and off the field.  I have a desire to win championships and will do what's needed to win.  I take pride in the name on the front of my uniform!

Academically, my goals are to maintain my standards to the best of my abilities and get my degree.  Athletically, my goals are to continue to identify my strengths and weaknesses as a player.  As I grow both physically and mentally throughout my college baseball career, I will strive to be an asset to the infield, batting lineup, team, and school.    I firmly believe my best days are ahead of me!
