Austin Lecklider '17 Recruiting Profile

Let me start out by saying that I believe that honor is the greatest gift I can give myself. No one can give that to me, and no one can take it away. I am passionate about the game of baseball. If I can borrow a quote from Babe Ruth, I never want to walk onto the diamond and be recognized as an average player. I work very hard to be the best that I can be. At practice I will be the first one there and the last to leave. Some say I have a natural talent for baseball, but it is the hard work that makes me better. Hard work shows a lot more than talent. I was born to pitch,hit and field,as Bryce Harper said "I don't have gears, I play one way, that is all I've ever known. Like so many other guys my dreams are to get to the MLB.  I know I will need an education whether I make the bigs or not. I am thinking a buisness or marketing degree for I would like to be an antraprenure. I hope my adult life though is always associated with baseball.
