Hi, I'm Jordan Haddox. I will Graduate in 2019 and I'm seriously interested in taking my talents to the next level. I have been playing baseball since I was 3, and playing college baseball is something I heavily consider, and i'm also highly interested in. I would love to get in contact with coaches and talk to them about myself, the program, the future, and also to discuss BASEBALL. I have experience with every position, but I grew up mainly playing C, LF, SS, 3B, 2B, 1B. My main position is Catcher, which I grew up playing the MOST. My freshman year I earned the job as the starting 1ST Baseman (Varsity).. I will admit my struggles as it took some time to adjust to the position and my height. Although I did not let it affect my style of play.. I excelled at the plate, leading the team in Slugging Percentage, On Base percentage, RBIs and with the fewest strikeouts on the season (1). To finish the season, we went on to be District Champions, and Regional-Semifinalists.
My parents set high standards for me academically, which pushes me to excel in the classroom, and apply myself the best i can. Coming from a family with strong support, I can't explain how thankful I am to be surrounded by such great people. My father has always done what's best for me, and has always found the right people to work with. I worked with a Major League Catcher (Ryan Wagner) in the Summer of 2016, in preparation to my Sophomore year of baseball.
My Sophomore year, I took over the starting catcher position at the Varstiy level. What a transition it was for me. I love catching, it's extremely exciting to me and I love every moment of the game from behind the plate. To be able to control the game and take on the responsibilities as a catcher, is a pretty big deal that I handled well, in my opinion. Our season was cut short due to back-to-back losses in the District Championship.
College baseball is something I've always dreamed of, and I hope I have the privilege to carry on my dreams and play at a Collegiate Level.
