I would love to have the opportunity to play baseball at the collegiate level. I have a passion for the game and am a strong team leader both on and off the field. I am a utility player and will play wherever I'm asked; I have played Catcher, pitcher, outfield, SS, 2nd and 3rd; this year I've been asked to pitch again due to the changes in pitching regulations.
I used to be a three sport athelete, however, during my sophomore year, I broke my tibia/fibula during a football game, which led to surgery and a very long recovery and rehabilitation during the basketball season. I worked hard and focused on fully rehabilitating my leg and to gear up for the baseball season. I fully recovered by tryouts and earned my starting spot on the Varsity team and had a very successful season.
This injury gave me time to learn about my dedication to the sport and ability to overcome obstacles.
I am dedicated to earning a post secondary education and am hopeful to be able to play baseball while in college; education has always been a priority and playing sports has been a privilege.
Finally, if you were to ask any of my coaches about me, the common response is "he's hard working and very coachable"; this is something I've heard throughout my years of playing many different sports at all levels.
Thank you,
Trevor
