I play lacrosse year-round and switch between field and box. I live 125-miles (one way) from lacrosse practice facilities in Portland, Oregon. Given my travel commitment to practices, I try to take advantage of each opportunity by playing on multiple teams simultaneously (when practices align). I play field lacrosse on teams at different levels of skill (high school in a small market, 3D Oregon 2022 at the regional club level and the Legends West 2022 national team). Participating with different programs allows me to learn from new coaches and players with varied skill sets....getting more touches....more looks.
Throughout the box season, I routinely play on multiple regional box teams. Most recently, I was invited onto an elite travel box team (exclusively 2019's/2020's). I have learned that box allows me to hone my skills in a fast passed environment, while field challenges me to deploy strategy and work on patience (building "lacrosse IQ").
My coaches/mentors will tell you that one of my greatest strengths is that I am very "coachable" and I am comfortable being thrown onto a new team with a new offense/defense set. I may not be the most aggressive player you have ever seen, but I can fit into just about any system and deliver consistently and reliably.
