Personal Statement
The first time I stepped on to a baseball field, at age 9, my Little League coach put me behind the plate to see if I was "scared of the ball." After that first practice, he told my parents that there we two kinds of catchers. Those that hate to catch and those that love to catch. He said he was sorry to inform them that I was going to be the "love to catch" kid. He was right because I would not trade being a catcher for anything! I thrive on the action and quick thinking that it takes to be behind the plate.
Baseball has helped keep me focused on being a good student and improving myself on and off the field. I would like to find a college program that will enable me to continue improving myself and evolving as a catcher.
