Chris King '10 Recruiting Profile

My name is Chris King. Im a 6'1", 175lb RHP and middle infielder with above average speed. I am a 4-year varsity member and was 1st team all district DH in 2008 as a sophmore and 1st team all district UTL in 2009 as a junior. I was also selected to be on the the Under Armour All-American tournament team as a junior. What I have to offer a team is leadership, determination and a hard worker. Even before my freshman year, I was the guy that would stay after school and work out and go run even when nobody else was looking. In the dugout,I'm the encourager, the motivator and the team leader. I'm open to schools throughout the United States but the closer to Texas the better. The size of the school really isn't a deciding factor for me, whether it be a big school or small. Academically I'm looking for a sound school with a good atmosphere. Another factor in my college choice would be financial aid. My dad lost his job and finances are tight for my family. I have my major narrowed down to something in the engineering field or mathmatics, more along the lines of engineering. My goals athletically would be, of course, to play as a freshman, If don't get the opportunity the first year, I would use that time get myself accustomed to college athletics and work to get faster, smarter and stronger. Playing baseball at any level in college would be great and I feel that I can really make a difference where ever I do go.
