I got the opportunity to play Catcher for a very successful team my freshman year. that team only lost one game and it was the first round of state playoffs to the team that went on to win the Utah State Championship. My sophomore year I started once again for another successful team that went to the second round of the state playoffs and once again lost to the team that went on to win it all. That team had eight seniors on it and we were left with two seniors for my junior year. I had to pick up a big time leadership role seeing as I was the only player that played significant time the past two years. It made me a better person and player learning to play through adversity and even though this team was not as successful, we all grew an got better through out the season.
I have taken the opportunity I was given to grow as a captain this year. I am a three sport student athlete in multiple honors programs that continue to challenge me. I was a captain in all sports I have played this year being baseball, basketball and soccer. I look forward to taking on a leadership roll for your team, and furthering my athletic abilities and academic knowledge.
