John Bell '17 Recruiting Profile

My name is John Allen Bell, a 5’ 10”, 140 lb. pitcher from Chesapeake, VA and am in the 2017 graduating class!

I have loved playing baseball since I started playing at age 5, and I’ve played travel baseball since I was 10. As an 8th grader, I was one of the youngest players selected for my JV High School team last year, became the team’s primary closing pitcher during the season, and became a starting pitcher in my freshman year. I am a leader on my team and I am always willing to prove myself to my coaches. I am very excited to play for Great Bridge High School, as we have a highly competitive program that is consistently ranked among the top teams in the state and the country.

I am maintaining a high GPA while playing high school and travel ball in the spring, summer, and fall, all while working on becoming an Eagle Scout, playing percussion in the Marching Band, and participating in my church’s youth group.

I am open to all school options east of the Mississippi and am willing to travel if that allows me to attend a school at the highest level of competition possible.
