Personal Statement

I visualize my university years to be a personal growth period. My goal is to explore a sports science major that will place me well for a career in the sports field. On the field, I endeavor to be a positive player and a strong influence on the team. As I grow both physically and mentally throughout my college baseball career, I aspire to be an asset to the pitching staff, the infield, and the batting line-up. Most importantly, I will conduct myself with honor and integrity on and off the field, knowing that the way I carry myself reflects my team, my coaches and the college I attend.

Dylan Amos is a 2026 C/RHP/SS with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Leesburg, VA who attends Riverside. Slender young athletic build with lots of time and room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight stance with good balance, has a nice clean and direct hand path to contact with nice looseness and extension out front, flashed some lift when he met the ball out front, projects well as a hitter with additional strength and physical maturity. Played both middle infield and catcher at this event and showed potential at both, moves well at shortstop and has the athletic ability to make plays on the run. Comes out of his crouch well and shows plenty of raw arm strength. Also pitched, has a compact arm action that hides the ball well, loose arm that works well through release and projects. Fastball worked up to 77 mph with some sink down in the zone and some cutting action glove side. Slider showed some spin and bite. Good athlete with potential at multiple positions and on the mound. Very good student. Named to the 13U/14u Atlantic Coast Showcase Top Prospect List.
