Personal Statement

On the baseball field, I play with integrity, drive, and 100% effort. I am an asset to the pitching rotation, infield/outfield, and batting lineup. My coaches and teammates count on me to give my personal best and lead by example both on and off the field. I am a well-rounded, student-athlete eager to play baseball at the collegiate level. As I transition from high school to college, I expect myself to grow in all areas of personal development. DECA has sparked my interest and leadership abilities. I plan to develop my skills of finance, marketing, management, and entrepreneurship as I pursue a BS degree in Business. I also have a strong interest and talent in music and perform in the top honor bands our school offers (Wind Ensemble and Jazz I), and a local jazz band (Northwest Jazz). I intend to develop my technique and personal style with bass trombone and tuba at the college level with the interest of earning a minor in music. New video just uploaded from the most recent Baseball Northwest tryouts that took place this year.

  • February 27, 2019 To Whom It May Concern: I am very pleased to have been asked to write a letter of recommendation on behalf of Noah Stingily. I have had the privilege of coaching Noah in baseball for the last 6 years in Little League, American Legion, and Select Baseball capacities. Prior to coaching Noah I had the chance to coach against his team and the thing that stuck out to me 7 years ago was the immediate impact he had for his team both from a pitching as well as a hitting stand point and that he was a player that his teammates rallied around. As the years have passed and I have had the good fortune to coach him on my teams the same holds true. He has been a go-to guy for us both on the mound as well as the plate. Noah is a kid that has constantly delivered regardless of the scenario we have put in front of him. It’s not uncommon for us to pull him in to pitch after the bases have been loaded as he is a kid that relishes the challenge and has time and again been successful in getting us out of those situations unscathed. Facing adverse situations like that allowed him to make the Varsity baseball squad at our High School as the only Sophomore to do so. He ended up in the closer role for most of the year and had a stellar year coming in as a relief pitcher. Towards the end of the year as the arms started to tire the coaches moved him into the starter role which he had equal success and is primed as a starter for his Junior year. His size, velocity, and ability to hit with power both right and left-handed sets him apart from the average baseball player. As a baseball coach for the last 15 years I have seen few that exhibit his character, work ethic, coachability, and dedication to school, marching band, tennis, and baseball. Noah is truly a rare find. There is no doubt in my mind that Noah will succeed in anything he puts his mind to both athletically and academically. If you have questions or would like to discuss personally, please don’t hesitate to contact me. Sincerely, Kurt Holmdahl Head Coach – Snohomish Grizz Baseball 425.530.3700
