My name is Natalie Lamando and I am currently in my sophomore year at Chenango Valley High School in Binghamton, NY. This is my 4th year as a member of our High School Varsity Cheer Team. My most recent high school competitive experience was during the UCA National High School Cheerleading Championship in Orlando, FL with both our Game Day and Traditional squads. My most recent All-Star Cheerleading experience was at the Junior Level 2 division at D2 Summit in Orlando, FL. In addition, this past year I was named Best Performer from a panel of Varsity judges at the Encore Championships in Rochester, NY.
During last summer’s UCA camp, I was also selected to the UCA All-American Team and performed at the Citrus Bowl in the pre-game performance. This summer I was busy with private tumbling lessons to enhance my skills, practices for my two All-Star Cheer teams (Sr. Level 2 & Sr. Level 3), Jr Coaching our Jr Level 1 All-Star team, and attending various college clinics. In July 2023, I obtained my Jr. Coaching Certification with USASF and USA Cheer at the Unplugged Tour in Nashvill,TN. While I was there, I was one of the 18 athletes selected as a 2023-2024 Worlds Ambassador at the conclusion of my Master Class!! Upon my return, I completed my BOLT training course with USASF and applied for a position on their Athletic Advisory Council for the 2023-2024 year. While I was not selected for that role, my goal is to keep trying to receive a spot before I graduate.
I originally started cheering when I was 7 years old at the All-Star level and was one of the first 7th graders to be selected for our High School Varsity Team as a flyer. I pride myself on being a versatile cheerleader, while my primary position is flying, I am also a bracer, tumbler, and I even base on my Level 2 team. Cheer is my passion, and truly a part of my identity. I dream of cheering in college and continuing to coach for many years to come!
With each year, comes new opportunities and I am extremely passionate about this sport! I enjoy mentoring our younger athletes as well as my teammates to help everyone grow and become exceptional team players on and off the mat.
Between high school and all-star, I currently practice and/or coach 7 days per week, while maintaining High Honor Roll and making time for friends and family. Overall, I feel I am a well-rounded athlete and would make a prospective college and cheer team very proud. I am looking forward to collaborating and working hard with my future coaches and teammates!
