Marcella Diamond '17 Recruiting Profile

My one collegiate goal and aspiration is to become a part of a school that is dedicated to me both as a student and an athlete. I have been playing field hockey as a Midfielder for six years and to have to leave field hockey behind after high school would be heartbreaking. I have always worked hard as a student athlete with collegiate level field hockey in mind because it is truly my passion. I am able to display a very high-level understanding of field hockey with strong stick skills in both hands. I am a leader on and off the field, always trying to motivate and inspire my teammates through teamwork and good sportsmanship. I have been told that I am a "coach's dream" because I am very hardworking and coachable. I am determined to give it my all whether it be in a game, during practice drills or whatever may be sent my way. I take constructive criticism to heart to improve myself as a player and a person.  As a student athlete I pride myself in my work ethic and maintaining a high GPA while challenging myself with some of the hardest academic courses. I am looking forward to a school that will continue to push me to do my best in academics and athletics. I am open to all options that may be out there hoping to find the perfect fit for myself to allow my leadership to shine through and make my parents proud after all of the hard work they have put in to fuel my love for the sport.
