Personal Statement
My name is Madison Hohmann and I am currently a Junior at Norwell High School in Norwell, Ma. I have been playing varsity field hockey since my freshmen year and was voted team Captain this year. I also play on the club strikers team. In addition to playing field hockey I also play Norwell lacrosse and club mass elite lacrosse, as well as Norwell varsity ice hockey since my freshman year. Being a three sport athlete has been challenging at times, but has developed me into a stronger person today. Throughout my years of playing sports I have kept my education and grades my priority and currently hold a 3.85. Being able to balance school and sports is my biggest accomplishment and knowing that I am prepared to handle the balance in college is very rewarding. All these sports have helped shape me into the person I am, but field hockey is my passion and my driving force. Being a part of a team is something that teaches you to always be there for one another on and off the field. We play for each other, our school, our club, our family, and ourselves. The bond that sports create on team is what truly pushes me.
In addition to playing the sport, I enjoy surfing, skiing, playing the guitar and ukulele. I feel I am passionate about life, caring towards people, and always showed the utmost respect to teachers, classmates ,and coaches by always trying my best and having a positive attitude. I am grateful and excited for having the opportunity to talk with college coaches and touring colleges.
Thank you advance for your time and consideration,
Madison Hohmann
