Field hockey has been a part of me for most of my life. I grew up watching my older sister play, and I followed in her footsteps and decided to play as well. Understanding the game, having good leadership skills, not moving on from something until it is correctly done, and being versatile in a situation and position, are all characteristics that I think make me a strong player. Something I think is extremely important in the success of a team is the connection with your teammates, on and off the field. South Jersey Edge is like my other family and has given me some of my best friends. We make each other better by listening and learning things that we have each individually gathered from our experiences and coaches.
