I love to compete! I thrive on success. On top of excelling in the classroom, enrolled in the same classes as the top 20% of my peers in my grade, I excel on the field and in my extra-curricula activities. I'm known as a go-getter. A person that doesn't stop. I need to stay active, want to stay active and crave to stay active. When thinking about college, I think about moving away from home. I won't have the constant presence of my large Irish family to attend to. I will have myself and the new family I hope to make with my collegiate field hockey team. I have been fortunate enough to have grown with my teammates and the very same coach since 6th grade. I was chosen captain of my team in 8th grade and made varsity this year as a sophomore. Might I add that I started many varsity games this year too. I have earned respect from these peers and my coach. These peers and this coach have instilled in me a love for the game of field hockey and I want to continue that growth into my adulthood, into my college years. I know that I possess the skills, confidence, determination, and qualities to make it as a collegiate athlete. I understand that few are able to have the opportunity to compete at this level and I choose to be one of those elite athletes. I do hope that once you meet me, you will see and feel what I know in my heart, that I am a future collegiate athlete.
