Gretchen Gilcris '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello,

My name is Gretchen Gilcris, I am excited to begin the  recruiting process and search for college and a college field hockey team. 

I am a dedicated, hardworking individual both on and off the field. While on the field, I am a leader and able to support my team towards greater performance as we strive for excellence as a team. While I am in goal, I am able to view the field and provide insight to my teammate about field position or what might be coming at them. I have strong communication skills, my teammates rely on me to support them on and off the field. 

Off of the field, I am a member of the Student Athletic Council. Through the council, we put on fundraising events, we encourage the student body (athletes & non-athletes) to attend athletic events and support our teams, and we work with the Springfield Booster Club at sporting events to help support successful events. 

I referee the Junior High Field Hockey Teams and help to support the Parks and Rec field hockey program to help grow our program and to keep it alive for years to come.
