James Gultekin '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is James Gultekin, I am a 16 year old junior at Springfield High School, in Springfield, Vermont. My goal is to compete and progress at the next level as well as be an important part of a team.  My aspiration is to achieve being a better athlete for myself and my fellow teammates. For your team, I will be a good candidate because I will dedicate myself to the team and do what I need to do for the team to be successful as well as myself. My leadership skills on the court have been an important element of the teams I have been a part of. These skills consist of integrity, dependability and decision making. I feel I am different from other candidates because I am coachable, will ask questions when in doubt and give my best opinion. In academics, I  try my best in the classroom, I ask questions and I complete my assignments. Athletically, I have participated in parks and recreational sports in football and basketball from 3rd grade to 6th grade, in school sports I have participated in football and basketball from 7th grade to present. To improve my basketball skills I have been a member of AAU teams since 3rd grade. As a freshman, I was a member of the Unified Basketball team as a peer mentor for students with special needs and participated on my high school track team during my sophomore year.  I hope you will consider me as a good candidate for your team.
