
September 2022My name is Jillian Muther, I play softball for the Cosmos in Springfield VT. I have always found sports to be a safe space. A place where I can be myself, have fun and get the adrenaline rush. I have always had some special love for Softball, a love for the game that was incomparable to all the other sports I play. Being apart of a team and being surround with your friends while playing a game you love is a dream come true. Softball is exciting, unpredictable, fun, and the field is a place I want to be. I love the game, and I couldn't imagine not playing it in college.
I love being in school and can't wait to pursue my passion in Sports Medicine. Alongside being on a field. The feeling of swinging the bat, making contact and diging your heart out to first is a feeling I want everyday. I want to be better than I was yesterday and even better tomorrow than I was today. There has never been a doubt in my mind that this is my sport. I am a 12 season athlete, while being a senior captain in every sport I play. I was a junior captain for softball as well. My sophomore year my coaches called me their Swiss army knife because I played 8 out of the 9 positions on the field, catcher being the only position I didn't play. My Junior year I was the first baseman and relief pitcher. I am super flexible and can be put anywhere on the field but would love to play, left field, third or first.
