Rikardo Zimmerman '21 Recruiting Profile

3.5 years ago, I had never heard of American football and only played soccer in Ukraine. I was adopted at 14.5 years old  and brought to a new country not speaking the language or understanding the culture. I was thrown into American football by my parents as a Freshman in high school in hopes of translating my soccer skills to kicking/punting. It was difficult to start a new skill and adapt to a new sport. However, through practice and dedication, I have been able to improve my form and skill. 

I have a strong desire to continue perfecting my skill set at the college level and be a part of a team that is strong and dedicated. Not only do I bring my kicking and punting skills to the team, but I also bring my character of integrity and perseverance to every situation. I aspire to be a college athlete and become an engineer that will impact the future.
