Integrity, strength, and dedication, these are the characteristics that I have prided myself in my life. These characteristics are the fabric of my moral standards and motivation to better myself in school, in athletic endeavors, and in life. I have grown in an atmosphere where striving for perfection is not a goal, it is a mission. I have always understood that what we want in life comes through the skills that morality and character develop. I have dedicated myself to knowing that I can do whatever I set my mind to by following these core characteristics. It has become my personal statement to become an accomplished man on and off the field of play. Football has become more than a sport to me, it has become the path that I will take to become the best possible athlete, team mate, and man I can be. The characteristics that I have prided myself on come from years of development, conditioning, and training that football has instilled in me. Thomas Jefferson said, “Nothing can stop the man with the right mental attitude from achieving his goal; nothing on earth can help the man with the wrong mental attitude.” My attitude has not changed in my life. I have always been dedicated to being a student-athlete and understood the responsibilities it entails. The opportunity to continue my life as a student-athlete is my goal and my statement.
