Michael Collins '25 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing football since the age of 5 years starting as a defensive end/middle linebacker. As I moved into junior high I transitioned to outside linebacker and completed my 8th grade season as captain of the football team for the Copper Basin Dust Devils. When I started Freshman year at Poston Butte high school 2021, I was starting position outside linebacker, and transitioned to the Varsity team by the end of 2021. I completed the season with an Academic Achievement, Bronco of the Year and Defensive Player of the year awards. Now in 2023 I will be a Junior on the Varsity team as outside linebacker. 

In the classroom I am very dedicated and hardworking. I always do my best to keep my GPA at a 3.0 or higher. I believe that my coaches would say, I am a highly motivated, coachable, and always willing and able to learn and grow at any task you give to me. I will always put 100% effort into all that I do individually and with my team on and off the field, including my academics.  It is important to me to build close and strong relationships with my peers and coaches that I play with every year.  

My goals for the future are to graduate from high school and move on to play college and professional football, while achieving a degree in criminal justice.  When I am looking for a perspective college I am looking for a west coast demographic, possible academic and sports scholarship, with strong coaching and a family/team atmosphere.
